Sadly, only yesterday, DJ Omnimaga closed down The International MTV-Music Generator Users Lounge. I didn't see what happened; I only found out this morning when it was too late.
With that said, I initially started TIMGUL 2.0 back in March when DJ Omnimaga had given The International MTV-Music Generator Users Lounge a 24-hour break after tensions were rising among the community. When the site had came back, I let everyone there know that I had made an unofficial backup -- TIMGUL 2.0 -- just in case the site goes down again. It's almost ironic that as of writing, I'm still the only member, but I'm in the process of letting everyone else know of this backup.
There are a few things between "TIMGUL v1" and TIMGUL 2.0.
For one, there's no file attachment service. I'm sorry, but I don't know if ProBoards wants many many many mp3s on their server space when they could be using that for other forums. All I can do is direct you to the nearest file-hosting service.
Second, unlike "TIMGUL v1", there's no "site" look, meaning that there's no section to list the x recently uploaded songs. You'll just have to find them yourselves.
On the upside, I have tried making this site look just like TIMGUL v1.
Also included is the Admin-Only section, which is invisible to those who aren't moderators.
Also to prevent any flame wars, TIMGUL 2.0 will be using ProBoards' Warning Level system: when a member's Warn Level reaches a certain number, the following punishments will be given:
020% = 24-hour tempban. This should give those who receive it sufficient time to cool down.
050% = 1-week tempban.
075% = 4-week tempban.
100% = Permanent ban.
A member's Warn Level can go up by upto 5% each time unless truly necessary (trolling, flaming, hacking etc.).
That should be all for now, until then, take care.
