If you have any questions regarding TIMGUL 2.0, make sure your question hasn't been asnwered here (or for that matter, the other question threads)
1) So, what is this forum all about?
TIMGUL 2.0 was initially created in response to the original site, The International MTV-Music Generator Users Lounge closing down in mid-March 2009 due to issues I won't go into.
Unforunately, in mid-May 2009, the site went down yet again due to other issues that I was absent from.
TIMGUL 2.0, like its predecessor, exists as a tribute to the MUSIC/MTVMG series, a set of games from 1998-2003 which allowed the player to create their own music. If you have any tunes produced in any of the games in this series which you feel need to be showcased on the Internet for all to see, by all means, post it!
Note that we do allow music made in other software to be posted, but this is intended to be MUSIC/MTVMG-orientated.
2) woahwoahwoah MUSIC/MTVMG? En anglais, sil-vous plait?
A brief history of the MUSIC series if you will:
In 1998, Codemasters Software and Jester Interactive released MUSIC: Music Creation For The PlayStation for the Sony PlayStation. Proving to be a success, they followed up with Music 2000, released in Europe in 1999 and renamed MTV Music Generator for the US in 2000, or MTVMG for short. Other games in this series were from then on released under the MTV Music Generator name rather than the MUSIC name.
3) i made a tunebut i eated ithow do i get it on teh siet??
Unlike The International MTV-Music Generator Users Lounge, TIMGUL 2.0 does not have a file attachment system. That would cost money and I am an e-cheapskate.
Alternately, there are many, many sites out there that allow you to upload your files onto the Internet for free. I personally use both MediaFire and MegaUpload. Simply upload your song onto those sites and copy-n-paste the address here. (bear in mind that some sites will delete the file if it's been left alone for a certain number of days)
If you've uploaded your song onto YouTube, however, you can embed the video here by clicking the button and typing the the YouTube URL inbetween the tags (below the video description there is a box with the word URL beside it; that's the one you should copy-paste.
Oh, and post your song in the Music Showcase section. Keeps everything tidy.
